While we uphold thy hands with prayer/ 3 Come as a watchman: take thy stand 5 Come as a messenger of peace: Upon thy tower amidst the sky; Filled with the Spirit, fired with love; And when the sword comes on the land, Live to behold our large increase, Call us to fight, or warn to fly.
